Class Descriptions

Beginner: This class is perfect for people who have little or no experience with yoga. The instructor will introduce the basics of yoga at a pace that is not overwhelming, and in an environment that is safe and encouraging. 

Vinyasa Level 1: This class is for experienced beginners who wish to take their practice to the next level.  Vinyasa Flow level one classes include the basics of a flow class, which is a dynamic practice that focuses on combining movement with breath control  - an energizing and invigorating yogic experience.

Vinyasa Level 2/3: A class for those who are seeking to challenge their practice.  Intended only for those with a regular vinyasa practice and who are comfortable working towards arm balances and inversions. 

Open Level Vinyasa: This class is appropriate for all levels of yoga students who have some experience with yoga.  The instructor will offer modifications for level 1 students as well as more challenging poses for advanced students. (not recommended for pure beginners)

Core Yoga: A class that focuses on strengthening the core combining traditional yoga postures with some additional core-strengthening exercises from other traditions like Pilates.  A strong core enhances your yoga practice immeasurably and promotes healthy posture off the mat as well! Appropriate for all levels of practitioners. 

Hot Vinyasa Flow: An intense vinyasa sequence in a warm room, which increases the heat that is naturally created in a traditional vinyasa practice, while encouraging greater flexibility.  Not a class recommended for beginners.

Gentle Yoga: A slow-paced practice, with great attention to detail and use of props. Perfect for seniors or those dealing with injury who need a well-rounded, healing practice.
Morning Vinyasa Flow: A perfect way to begin the day! For all levels of yoga practitioners from beginner to advanced stages. An invigorating combination of stretch, flow, and breathing techniques offering everyone a positive start to a great morning.

Candlelight Yoga: Finish the week and leave all your stress behind as you look forward to the weekend.  A great way to de-stress from the work week and kick your weekend off on the right note! This class is done by candlelight with great music (all levels). 

Mommy & Me Yoga: For new mothers and infants (1-24 months). Explore the yoga posture that mothers can do with their newborn infants. Also, new mothers can learn techniques of infant massage to enhance the bonding experience that follows birth.

Children’s Yoga: A fun children’s level yoga class that combines yoga and games that promote a healthy body and spirit. Children learn some fundamentals of yoga, better body awareness, flexibility and conditioning.   We emphasize building confidence and respect for oneself and others in an environment that is safe and fun.

Pilates Fusion: A total body conditioning class that fuses core and strength training exercises, some traditional pilates exercises, yoga asanas and resistance bands.
